I also make sure to delete the folder in Common that contains all mod files and created maps- the game is now installed in a completely blank state, with no modded information. Of course, now the obvious thing to do would be to uninstall the game, which I promptly do. So I changed the file back from its playable state to its non playable state and start up Men of War Assault Squad 2 (NOT the editor) to disable the mod and try to figure out what's going on.Įxcept, to my despair, the game crashes while in the pre-launch window that shows the game title and gives me the same Exception error. I have to edit this file slightly (a one character change in the Max Version line) to run the mod with the current version of the game. So, after this, I try to read the error but it's totally indecipherable except for one part at the bottom, which has to do with version 3.251.0.īecause I loaded the Planetside mod, I thought it would be wise to check out the mod.info file which contains version info. I get the same error when loading the editor. No problem, right? Just reload the Editor and start again, as usual when the game crashes.
Unfortunately, when I tried to save it as another map, the game crashed and gave me an Exception error. I obviously want to have the template as well, so I saved it as another map with a different name with the intention of clearing it again then saving the template. Then, I saved it under the name of the map template that it was on.
So I was in the editor yesterday making a map, which was made using assets from the vanilla game and the Planetside 2 mod found here:
